In each issue of Spiritual Serenity Spiritual Serenity Heartsong, I will open with a quote, poem or lyric, which I have found inspiring and uplifting. Today, I have chosen a quote that demonstrates the necessity of having faith, and wielding it in all things that we say and do.

“Faith is the bird that sings when the dawn is still dark.”
~ Rabindranath Tagore~

A lighthouse serves as a beacon of hope in a violent storm. A lighthouse sheds light on our worries and troubles, and brings us joy and peace. Therefore, in each Spiritual Serenity Spiritual Serenity Heartsong issue, I will include an article, which will help to guide you through the dark and troubled times, or lighten and brighten your heart and life in a special way. In today’s Lighthouse article, we’ll discuss three crucial keys to making your heart’s desire a living reality.

Three Crucial Keys To Unlocking Your Heart’s Desires

Over the period of time during which I have been practicing manifesting techniques, I have gone through quite a learning process. I’ve learned, (often through the frustrations and annoyances of “good old experience”, that I must be detached from whatever it is that I am trying to manifest into my life. This complete release is, of course, much easier said than done. But often, as I recently gently reminded a client, the journey is in the learning process itself. And I’d like to share in this article, what I believe to be three primary and crucial keys to manifesting all that your beautiful heart desires. Let me state in advance that we all find our own keys that help us during the process of attracting what we desire. These are simply three that I find crucial for me, and which I firmly believe would be of tremendous assistance to anyone who is trying to make his or her dreams a physical reality. Why not try using them, and see what they may unlock in your life?

  • Key number one to unlocking your heart’s desires is “knowing.” Now, by knowing, I don’t mean you think you know or you hope you know what will happen or what will manifest. I mean you know you know! There’s a big difference between the two. The knowing of which I speak is a complete surrender to the knowledge in your innermost heart. It is the allowing of that gentle inner heart’s voice, (see the Lighthouse article in the previous issue), to lead you safely and securely to your dreams and desires. It is the act of releasing everything you desire to the wisdom of your heart, and allowing yourself to be completely confident of receiving the outcome that is for the highest good of all parties involved.
  • The second key walks hand in hand with the first key, and it is “belief.” Whereas I consider knowing to be something that is felt with the emotions, I consider belief to be something held by one’s practical mind. It is difficult to explain the difference in writing, rather, it is a difference that simply must be experienced for oneself. Believe in yourself and in your ability to attract the things that are for your highest good. Believe that you are a beloved and precious individual, and that the universe is working just as it should be in this moment, and in all moments. In my case, I have to believe that all will be taken care of in Divine Timing. Patience is not my greatest virtue, and so I must believe that all will happen how, and when, it is supposed to happen.
  • The third key is perhaps the most difficult of the three to implement, and that is “faith.” If knowing is an emotional state of being, and belief is logical in it’s orientation, then faith is certainly the spiritually oriented component of these three keys. This not only involves having faith in oneself, but faith that God / Goddess / the universe is in control, and is assisting you, right now in this moment, to manifest your highest and greatest potentials and purposes. Over the last few weeks, I have been in the process of manifesting a very big dream, and the hardest part about it for me has been releasing my control of the situation over to the love and compassion of Spirit. I think, whenever we are involved in manifestation, that this is an important element to keep in mind. We need to have faith that God / Spirit is handling things in the best way possible. By giving over the reigns of control, we are allowing God to steer our lives in the perfect direction for us. It may be a direction that is beyond our wildest hopes and dreams! But we’ll never know that unless we have faith in the process, and let God take control in our manifestations.

When using these three keys in combination, and allowing myself to remain open to God’s loving and all-knowing guidance, I am more easily able to reach higher and go further towards achieving my greatest hopes and desires. It isn’t an overnight process, and it takes practice, but as I earlier stated, the learning is a necessary part of this amazing journey towards manifesting your desires. I hope that these three keys will be helpful in unlocking the abundance, love and fulfillment that you desire, and deserve. I wish you tremendous love and joy upon your journey!

All of us need to take the time to be gentle with ourselves. Therefore, each issue of Spiritual Serenity Spiritual Serenity Heartsong will include tips with which you can nurture, pamper and transform all aspects of your life. Enjoy!

Healing The Past, Reaching Towards The Future

I was chatting with a dear friend of mine this week about an issue that I was having trouble dealing with in a successful manner. After patiently listening to me for about ten minutes, as I poured out my woes and stress about the subject, he looked at me hard for a moment, before asking, “Why don’t you just face the past?” I was rather shocked by this question, as I really didn’t want to go back into my past in the least, even to resolve this nagging issue. “I think I’ve dealt with my past regarding this problem”, I said cautiously. “But”, my friend reminded me, “If you’re still dwelling on it so much, then you really haven’t faced it down and resolved it, have you?”

Most of us really don’t like the prospect of dredging up our pasts in order to move successfully and fully into our futures. But, as in my case with this issue I was dealing with, it’s often a very necessary step. We can’t just sweep events from our pasts under the rug and expect them to disappear into the dust. Rather, we often have to take them out, hold them to the light, and examine them closely. Often this isn’t fun, because it brings up emotions that are unpleasant for us, such as anger, bitterness, guilt and regret.

When forced to face our pasts, there are often a lot of emotions and stresses hidden there that we are then forced to recognize and deal with in some way. For some of us, we must enter therapy or counseling as a means of dealing with the past. For others, as in my particular situation, we can find a close and trusted friend in whom to confide. For still others, communion with God and our loving angels are essential in helping us to find healthy ways of dealing with our past pain, and walking boldly into our future lives.

I’ve used all of these methods in my own life, and have found all three very useful for me personally. However you choose to deal with your past, I strongly encourage you to find a way to do it that works successfully for you. Our past problems won’t simply vanish. Rather, we need to seek healthy resolutions in order to move into the future with peace and joy. It may be that you need to apologize to someone for something said years ago, or just last week. It may be that you need to tell someone you love him or her, grieve for a loss, or forgive another, or forgive yourself. Whatever your situation, I remind you that Spirit will see you safely through it. You are truly, deeply loved, and you can deal with whatever problems or situations occur in your life. I wish you wise guidance, deep peace, and speedy resolutions.

In this section of the newsletter, I will provide tips to help you to bring your own creativity, spirituality and unique talents into your everyday life, and, more specifically, into your home.

Celebrate Yourself

We all experience times during which we can’t think of a single good or worthy thing about ourselves. We tend to get overworked, stressed out or depressed, and we feel as if we’re just a generally “bad” person. It’s at times like these, when I think a personal “celebration list” is vital.

It helps to write your “celebration list” when you’re feeling good about yourself. Find some free time when you’re jovial and upbeat, and sit down with pen and paper. Make a list of as many positive qualities about yourself as you can think of. If you’re having trouble, ask people you know and trust to assist you. You’ll be amazed at how many good things about yourself you can come up with! Think of events or accomplishments that made you feel especially good, and somehow incorporate these into your list.

If you’re a creative type, you can cut words and pictures out of magazines or newspapers that you can identify with your “celebration” qualities. Use markers, crayons, stickers or colored construction paper. Dress up your list. Make it something that causes you to grin when you look at it! Then, when you get one you like, proudly display it somewhere you can view it anytime you’re blue. Revise and update it… as you feel guided.

You are a special and beautiful person! Enjoy celebrating you!

Each issue of Spiritual Serenity Spiritual Serenity Heartsong will feature a prayer, either from my own heart, one which I hold dear in my own life, or one suggested to me by others. I hope they will speak to your spirit, as well.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall.

Think of it – always.
~Mahatma Gandhi – early 20th century

Until our next issue, reflect on how wonderful the gifts of belief, knowing and faith could be when used regularly within your everyday life. Also, remember to reflect on the truly good and wonderful person that you are, and remember how deeply you are loved, always, by God.
